In the farm shop...

We have some delicious local strawberries on offer to eat in with a dollop of cream, or take home.  Also, by popular demand, we now have in stock Snowdonia Ginger Spice - a delicious tangy rich cheese.  Come and try some!

Our old season potatoes have now sold out, but we have a great crop in the ground for harvest in September, including Mayan Gold - a gourmet frying potato.  Watch out for more details later in the year.

On the farm... Rain, rain, come again.

We’re busy irrigating our Bradley Potatoes.  We pump water from the stream though our spray irrigator, delivering the equivalent of around 25mm of rain each week.  This helps the crop grow and stay healthy. With the ground being so dry, grass is growing slowly, so we keep moving our cattle round to make the most of what we have.  Luckily we made a good crop of silage from new seed grass on some heavier land, which retains the moisture better.  The odd shower helps the wheat and barley.  Harvest starts at the end of July with the first barley crop.
